   Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, November 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with his family will be Wednesday evening, November 4th  from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
   Mr. Hancock, age 73, of  White Bluff, TN died November 3, 2015 at Centennial Medical Center.
   Those desiring, Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
   He was born in Marion, Virginia, son of the late Fred Clinton and Minnie Lee Champion Hancock. He was a retired truck driver and  teamster with thirty years of service.  He later worked with Glen James and Sons and 96 Lawn and Garden.
Mr. Hancock proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He was a parishioner with St. Christopher's Catholic Church where he  was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a  former Captain of the Dickson County Rescue Squad and a Union Stewart for the Teamsters 480. He was a loving husband, devoted father of three and papa to eight grandchildren and papa to eleven great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Van Hancock, sister, Faye Dunlap and a sister in law Teresa Martin.  He was married to the former Joanne Mary Papiernik.
   Survivors include his wife of 53 years; Joanne Hancock of White Bluff, TN, children;  Debbie Carson and her husband, Mark of Erin, TN, Fred T. Hancock and Brian Hancock both of White Bluff,TN, brother; Allen Hancock and his wife, Wanda of Cleveland, TN, eight grandchildren; Cassey Hassell and her husband, Kevin, Trista Rickard and her husband, Tommy, Chasity Hassell and her husband, Eddie, Amanda Jared, Brittany Hancock, Michael Hancock, John Hancock and Felicity Hancock, great grandchildren;  Haley Rickard, Michael Rickard, Gavin Jared, Hunter Petty, Lexi Crafton, Peyton Hassell, Nathan Rickard, Clay Crafton, Mason Hassell, Pierce Hancock, and Bentley Hassell, Several nieces and nephews.
