   It was the wishes of Mrs. Gentry to be cremated and no formal funeral be held but her family plans to have a private family visitation.
   Mrs. Gentry, age 89, of White Bluff,TN died peacefully March 9, 2016 at NHC of Dickson after being admitted there earlier that day.

   She was born in Sylvia,TN, daughter of the late Charles and Rosie Lyles Westerman and was the widow of the late George Howard Gentry.  In the early years she and Mr. Gentry moved to Chicago to get work. She has worked in the restaurant most of her working life. She loved to cook and was very good at it.  They moved back to Dickson County in 1964.  Lastly she worked for the Dickson County Board of Education in one of the school cafeterias.  She was a member of the White Bluff Baptist Church. Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her siblings; Johnny, Eugene, L.J., Percy and Maxey and her son in law, Donald J. Cook.
   Survivors include her daughter; Shirley Cook of White Bluff, TN; her sons, Phillip Eugene Westerman of Nashville,TN, and Terry Dale Gentry and his wife, Ellie of California. Also surviving is one sister,  Maxine Gentry of White Bluff,TN; six grandchildren, Jeffery Scott Cook and his wife Becky, Todd Shannon Cook, Dustin Shawn Cook, Brittney Burgess and her husband, Jason, Beverly Renee Ramsey and Casey Lee Westerman; her great grandchildren, Jacey Cook, Brendan Cook, Dylan Westerman, Brody Cook, Brady Cook, Tanner Cook, Brock Cook, Jaxon Burgess, Jackson Westerman Alaina Ramsey.
