 A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11am at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 800 Bellevue Rd. Nashville, TN.  Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 2pm until 8pm at the Taylor Funeral Home.   A gravside service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11am at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.  Military Honors will be observed at the gravside service. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or to the charity of choice.

Mr. Riesland was born January 1, 1933 in Rocky Point, Wyoming.  He obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.  David served his Country in the U.S. Navy with assignments including the USS Cimarron.  He worked for France Electrical Solutions for 20 years, and he retired from General Electric with 20 years of service.  David was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Riesland, and the wife of his second marriage, Ruby Riesland.

David Riesland is survived by his 2 daughters, Deborah Nance (Bert) of Illinois, and Denise Vollmer (Chuck) of Indiana; his son, David Ross Riesland (Donna) of Oklahoma; step-daughter, Jan Street of Dickson; step-son, Rickey Street of Dickson; 6 Grandchildren, Katherine Gatto, Stephanie Nance, Zach Cole, Lucy Johnson, Dottie Vollmer, Ellie Riesland; 5 Great Grandchildren, Makayla Johnson, Donavon Johnson, Alex Johnson, Ben Cole, and Samantha Cole; step-grandchildren, Douglas Street, Phillip Street Jr.; step-great grandchildren, Jessica, Mattie, & Sara Street.
