     Funeral services for Verble Lunette Edwards James, age 78 of Dickson will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Franklin and Bro. Paul Picard officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Michael Davis, Ricky Mason, John Foster, III, Jason Foster, Nick James, Xavier James, Jesse James, and Don Picard. Honorary pallbearers are Lucas James, J. Foster, and Preston James. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 2 until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the “Pamela James Living Trust”.
      Mrs. James died Friday, July 15, 2016 at NHC. Born in Dickson County, Verble was the daughter of the late Daniel Braxton and Bertha Thompson Edwards. She was married to Bobby Earl James, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2011. A true “home maker” she was a great mother to her eleven children, and to their children and great grandchildren. And as if that were not enough, she also helped her husband in any way she could in his business ventures. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and a former member of Dickson Chapter #291, Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Randy James and by six brothers.
      Survivors include her sons, Barry White, White Bluff, Bobby Earl James, Jr. (Jola), McEwen, Rick James (Scarlett), Dickson, Andy James (Crystel), Waverly, and Danny James (Holly), Gordonsville, TN; daughters, Joni Davis (Don), Dickson, Barbara Foster (Don Adamson), Carthage, TN, Pam James, Dickson, and Paula James (Don Picard), Dickson; daughter-in-law, Trisha James, Nashville; brother, Glen Edwards (Sue), Centerville, TN; sister, Polly Roberts, Brentwood, TN; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
