Avis Ruth McEwen Richardson – Age 58 of White Bluff passed away at her home on August 3, 2016.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2pm from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Duke officiating. Burial will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.

Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 4-8pm and on Saturday 12-2pm at Taylor Funeral Home.

Ms. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Allbert McEwen, brother, Robert “Bud” McEwen and sister, Faye Creech. She is also preceded by her significant other of over 20 years, Johnny Sutton

She is survived by her son, Bobby Richardson of White Bluff; daughters, Jennifer (Ricky) Chandler of White Bluff and Mary (Kelvin) Woodard of White Bluff; grandchildren, Dylan Chandler, Mackenzie Richardson, Garrett Chandler, Hunter Woodard and Chloe Woodard; brother, Richard (Brenda) McEwen of Vanleer; sisters, Sue (Wade) Stacey of White Bluff, Wanda (Daniel) Grove of White Bluff, Carolyn (James) Alexander of White Bluff, Jean Cathey (Dennis Dawson) of White Bluff and Lois Jackson of Dickson. Ms. Richardson is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Richardson was a 1976 graduate of Dickson High School and member of First Baptist Church of White Bluff. She served others as a sitter and caretaker of the elderly and in the dietary department at Dickson Health and Rehab. She was a loving granny/Nanny, mother, sister and friend. She enjoyed babysitting, her indoor plants and Goodwill.
