    Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, October 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Baggett officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday beginning at 12 noon until time of service.
   Mrs. Perkins, age 90 of Dickson,TN died peacefully October 3, 2016 at NHC of Dickson,TN.
   Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the Humane Society or to the Walnut Street Church of Christ Benevolent Fund.
   She was born in Lyles, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late George and Bessie Lyle Patrick and was the widow of the late Henry Ford Perkins, who died in 2008.
   Mrs. Perkins was a former employee with Newspaper Printing Corp.  She proudly delivered the Tennessean and the former Nashville Banner to her customers daily. She carried many titles but being a  loving wife,  mother, grandmother and great grandmother was her favorite.  She was a military wife, who loved the military and its purpose, living in Japan and living twice in France.  She and her late husband were stations in the U. S. at Ft. Leonardwood, MO, Ft. Eustis, VA and Ft. Campbell, KY.  They raised a large family and she kept the family together during all of the traveling and being in the military for 23 years.  She never forgot her humble beginnings and always remembered fondly where she was from. Mrs. Perkins had a love and a special place in her heart for animals. She was a  woman of strength and honesty  that could be very much to the point. Mrs. Perkins had a  love of shopping.  She had the personal pride to always look good and dressed to the hilt, always looking her best before she went out to the public.
   Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Manley and her husband, Richard E. of Dickson,TN, Mary Hall and her husband, Jerry of Bon Aqua,TN, Anita Fernandez and her husband, Felix of Port Orange, FL; her sons, Henry Perkins and his wife, Lisa of Dickson,TN and Hensley Perkins and his wife, Laurie of Burns, TN; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chelsea Rene' Hartman.
   Grandsons, Great Grandsons and Grandsons-in-law will serve as casket bearers.
