     Funeral services will be Thursday December 8, 2016 at 1 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Brown officiating. Place of rest will be in the St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday December 7th from 4 to 8 PM and on Thursday from 11 AM until time of service. Those desiring memorials may be made to the St. Paul Cemetery.
      Mrs. Mattie Madge Burgess Hafner, age 92 of Dickson, TN died Monday December 5, 2016. Mrs. Hafner was born December 11, 1923 in Dickson County and she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Gertrude Edwards Burgess and was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Raymond Hafner and siblings, Percy Burgess, Virginia Hafner, Albert Burgess, J.W. Burgess, Louise McClurkan and Clyde Burgess. She had worked in House Keeping for the former Jackson Clinic and was a member of the Sylvia Baptist Church.

      Survivors include her children, Wayne Hafner (Sue) of Dickson, Jane Wilkerson of Cedar Hill, TN, David Hafner of Dickson; brother, Hugh Burgess of Dickson; sister, Dorothy Wooster of Capac, MI; grandchildren, Dr. Jason Wilkerson (Jenny), Matthew Hafner (Leslie), Jamie Hafner, Adam Hafner (Katie), John Hafner (Kalisa), Jana Tolleson (Taylor), Noah Hafner; great grandchildren, Jack, Kate, and Abby Wilkerson, J.J., Katie, and Joey Hafner, Calvin Tolleson; several loving nieces and nephews.
