Bro. James Robert Huff

James Robert Huff, age 91 of Dickson, died on June 11, 2017.  Visitation will be held at the Taylor Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 2pm until 8pm.  A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14 at 2pm at the Crossroads Church of God of Prophecy.  Visitation will be held Wednesday at the church from 10am until the time of service.  Following the funeral service Bro. Huff will be entombed at the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.  For those desiring, memorials may be made as a gift of love to his wife, Sister Pauline Huff. 

James Huff was born February 11, 1926 in Houston County, Tennessee.  He was a son of the late Edward Houston Huff, and the late Dollie Walker Huff.  He worked as a truck driver for 17 years with Dan’s Trucking and Leasing in Michigan, and as a hospital chaplain for over 15 years.  Bro. Huff leaves behind a legacy of love for God having served as pastor of several churches in both Michigan and Tennessee.  He was kind, compassionate and good hearted.  His smile was contagious, his faith was strong.

In addition to his parents, Bro. Huff was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Larry Huff, Albert Jackson Huff, and Charles Edward Huff; sisters, Ida Clorene Guthrie, Annie Waynick, Lillie Grubbs, Juanita Guthrie, and Irene Hunt; granddaughter, Amy Gossett.    

He is survived by his wife, Ida Pauline Allsbrooks Huff of Dickson, TN; his sons, Darrell Winston Huff of Southgate, MI, Floyd Lee Huff (Edna) of White Bluff, TN, and Timothy Joe Huff (Tanya) of White Bluff, TN; his daughter, Helen Elaine Donahoe of Southgate, MI; sister, Evon Pimer of Dickson, TN; 25 grandchildren; 67 great grandchildren; 24 great great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Brenda Huff, Tina Huff, Ann Huff; several nieces and nephews.
