A graveside memorial service for Billy Nicks “Chicken” Raymond will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Union Cemetery.  In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or formal service prior to the graveside.  Family and friends are invited to assemble for the service.  His cremains will be interred between the graves of his parents.  Billy died September 3, 2017 at his home in Bon Aqua.

Born in Dickson County, Billy was the son of the late Edward King Raymond and the late Claytie Nicks Raymond (Caldwell).  He was in the 1957 Class of Dickson High School and went on to obtain his BS degree in business from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Billy was a life-long diehard supporter of the UT Vols and any of his family or friends could attest to his devotion.  Go Vols!  He mastered his business skills in many entrepreneurial endeavors:  Robo Taxi, Robo Carwash and Market, and Robo Rentals.  When “not working” he enjoyed reading and he especially enjoyed the time he spent on the Tennessee River/Kentucky Lake in the Clydeton Boat Dock area.  His beloved pet, “Poochie” preceded him in death and part of his ashes will be scattered on Poochie’s grave.

Survivors include his brother, Charles Ted Raymond (Carolyn), Clarksville; his sister, Martha King Twilla (Tony), Knoxville; four nieces and nephews.
