   Memorial services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, October 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday beginning at 12 noon until time of service. 
   Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the Dickson County Humane Society, First United Methodist Church of Dickson,TN, St. Ann's Catholic School or to St. Henry's Catholic School.
   Mary, of Dickson,TN died peacefully September 27, 2017 at NHC of Dickson with her family by her side.
   Born in Montgomery County, Tenneesee, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Benjamin and Virginia Clay Vaughan Hodges. Known by family and friends as Mary or Mary Alice or Big Momma. She loved her family first and foremost. She was always there for them to show love and support at many, many ballgames, fundraisers, graduations, performances of any kind and the list goes on.  She traveled miles just to be there. She truly cared about people and never seemed to meet a stranger. If she met you once she remembered you for life. She was easy to talk to and was a close friend to many. She found joy in her flower and herb gardens and she enjoyed sharing her plants with family and friends. Also she never meet a dog she didn't like.
   Along with being a wife, mother,  and grandmother,  real estate was one of her many passions and she was a top realtor in Bridgeport, West Virginia for many years and loved her co-workers and customers. Throughtout her life she has also been actively involved in the Tennessee Republican Party, a member of the Dickosn Junior Women's Club, Garden Club, and the American Cancer Sociey Cancer Auction. She was a Methodist.
   Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Dr. Neil Mogge of Dickson,TN; her children, Gwyn McKinney Shepard (Rick) of Nashville,TN, Cheryl Roth (Randy) of Dickson,TN, John Stephen McKinney (Heather) of Ashland City, TN and Raymond Neil Mogge of Dickson,TN. her grandchildren, Heather Ramsey (John), Elle Roth, Michael Shepard (Anna Claire) and Sarah Shepard; her great grandchildren, Ethan Ramsey, Lucas Ramsey, Olivia Ramsey, Sawyer Shepard and Andi Rose Shepard; her brother, Gary Hodges of Clarksville,TN and her sister, Patricia Fain (Brian) of Dickson,TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen Benjamin Hodges and Virginia Clay Vaughan Hodges, her sister Billie Faye Clement and her beloved dog, Dakota.
