     Funeral services will be Friday November 17, 2017 at 2 Pm from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Jerry Tidwell and Bro. James Parham officiating. Place of rest will be in the Parker-Fowlkes Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday November 16th from 3 to 7 PM and on Friday from 12 PM until time of service. Those desiring memorials may be made to the Porter Community Center.
     Mr. Roy Wayne Tidwell, age 75 of Bon Aqua, TN died Tuesday November 14, 2017. Born in Dickson County, he was the son of the late William Hadden and Edyth P. Flowers Tidwell and was preceded in death by his twin sister, Jane Stringfield, Bertha Tidwell, William “Bill” Tidwell, Frona Fowlkes, James Tidwell, Wilson Tidwell, Curtis Tidwell and Lawrence Tidwell. Wayne was an avid small game hunter and loved hunting rabbits and squirrels and just loved running his dogs. He was an outdoorsman and loved animals and gardening. Wayne loved to make music and played the fiddle. He was free hearted and had a generous giving heart and loved his family and people. Wayne attended the Porter School. He retired after 40 plus years as a Forman for State Industries. He was a member of Tidwell New Hope Baptist Church.

     Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Margie Newman Tidwell of Bon Aqua, TN; son, Norman W. Tidwell (DeDe) of Pleasant View, TN; daughter, Rhonda Tidwell Adams (Jeff) of Dickson, TN; step-sons, Chad Simpkins of Bon Aqua, TN, Jason Simpkins (Dana) of Dickson, TN; brother, Tony Tidwell (Dot) of Bon Aqua, TN; sister, Florence Hulan (Kenny) of Bon Aqua, TN; 7 grandchildren, Russell “Rusty” Dotson (Kelsey), Justin Adams (Kimee), Cara Barnes (Rick), Riley Dotson, Ryan Shivers, Lawson Tidwell, Samuel “Sam” Adams; 2 step-grandchildren, Jacob Simpkins, Joseph Simpkins; 2 great grandchildren, Evy Adams, Macie Barnes; several nieces and nephews.
