Funeral services for Anne M. Noland, age 95 of Dickson will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Weller officiating.  Interment will follow in Dickson Union Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service.  She died peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Fellowship Sunday School Class or to any program of Dickson First United Methodist Church.
Born in Robertson County, Anne was the daughter of the late James H. and Hazel Dean Mason.  She graduated as Salutatorian from the former Barren Plains High School.   While attending business school in Nashville, she was introduced to her husband-to-be Warren Noland.  They were married for nearly 62 years until his death in 2013.  She was a homemaker and mother to four children who were “nearly grown” before she re-entered the work force as stock-room secretary for the former Winner (Boats) Corp.  Following that, she worked as a payroll clerk for Tennsco Corp. until her retirement in 1984.  Then her real work began as she and her husband gardened (both vegetable and flower), and tended to their 230 acre farm in the Iron Hill community.  They were also very involved as members of Dickson First United Methodist Church and its Fellowship Sunday School Class.  But her proudest achievement was being Mama to her four children; Grandmama to her seven grandchildren; and Greatmama to her nine great-grandchildren.  And while church and family were of the utmost importance, she was almost as proud of being a Democrat, cheering for the Titans, the Vols (except when they were playing Vanderbilt), and Vanderbilt basketball.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her first child, Merrie; her brother James D. Mason (and Ann); and her sister, Sue B. Price (and Morton).

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Noland (and Linda), Dickson; her daughters, Pam Norris (and Dale), Burns, and Cindy Comer, Lebanon; grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts (Paul), Daniel Norris and David Norris, Jessica Parham (Luke), Bradley Noland (Amanda), Kelly Comer, and Alex Comer; great-grandchildren, Rachel Roberts, Savanna Roberts, Katie Roberts, Emmy Parham, Ava Parham, Alexus Portman, Aleaha Portman, Chloe Noland, and Abigail Noland; numerous nieces and nephews; and her grand-dog, Jak.
