     Funeral services will be Sunday March 11, 2018 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Reginald Ward officiating. Place of rest will be in the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery on Monday March 12th at 11 AM. Visitation with the family will be Sunday March 11th from 1 PM until time of service. She will be out for viewing Saturday after 2 PM.
     Mrs. Nella Mae Nesbitt, age 95 of Dickson, TN died Tuesday March 6, 2018. Born in Dickson County she was the daughter of the late Zederick and Velma Flowers Fossie and was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Theodore “Joe” Nesbitt, Sr. and her son, Thomas Nesbitt, and her brothers, Arthur, Clarence and Milton Fossie. Nella graduated from Hampton High School in 1942 as Valedictorian of her class. She was a member of Bowman’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Nella started her work history working at Montgomery Bell State Park, then went to work for the former Schrader Automotive until it closed. After retirement Nella stayed committed to her church and community. Nella had been the President of the Heart Association, member of the Eastern Star and the NAACP and was also a former member of Bowman’s Choir and was President of the Untied Methodist Woman of Bowman Chapel.

     Survivors include her sons, Joseph Nesbitt (Gloria) of Burns, TN, Kenneth Nesbitt (Brenda) of Dickson, TN; brother, Marvin Fossie (Marie) of Dickson, TN; sisters, Laura Blue of Dickson, TN, Bettie Robinson of Columbus, OH; 7 great grandchildren & several great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews & cousins.
