      Christopher O’Bryan Turner, age 29, of Dickson, passed from this life on June 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Walnut Street Church of Christ. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, and on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Pastor Shammond Scales will officiate and Pastor Roderick Davison will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be at Worley Furnace Cemetery in Dickson, Tennessee.

                     Chris was a graduate of Lane College in Jackson, and a proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. (Beta Pi Chapter). He loved sports and played at the collegiate level at Lane College, as well as on the Dickson Chaos Semi-Pro Football team. He continued his legacy in sports by coaching the Burns Jr. Pro Football team. He also coached in the Dickson County Soccer Association. Chris played football and ran track for Dickson County High School and was a member of the Concert Choir. He was also the Minister of Music at New Hope Baptist Church in Dickson. 

     He was preceded in death by his sister, Tevin Artis; grandfather, Archie Lee Turner; and grandmother, Barbara Artis.

     Survivors include his loving wife, Teanna Turner of Dickson; his son, Adonius Turner of Dickson; his father, Sergeant Major Kevin Artis of Chester, PA; his mother, Minister Lachelle Hunt and husband Jeffrey of Columbia, TN; his grandmother, Evelyn Beasley of Dickson; his brothers, Minister Cameron Turner, Sr. and wife Tyshekia of Dickson and Gabriel Hunt of Columbia; his devoted uncle, Drason Beasley; aunt, Rashaunda Beasley; nephew, Cameron Turner; mother-in-law, Patricia Jackson-Lee of Bethel Springs; brother-in-law & sister-in-law Kenneth Anderson (Bebe) Habi Anderson of Southaven, MS; nieces & nephews, Ava, Kendall, August & Khindra Anderson; and sister-in-law, A’Aliyah Holloway of Bethel Springs.
