A graveside service will be held at the Gillian Cemetery in White Bluff on Wednesday morning, August 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

Jane Ann Talbert, age 78, of White Bluff, Tennessee, left this world to be with her Savior on Friday, August 3, 2018.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evangelical Mission Support, 872 Arnold Road, White Bluff, TN  37187.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Dale Talbert, who recently passed in July.

Jane was the daughter of James Homer and Lila Pearl Savage.  She had a twin brother, Jack Savage, who preceded her in death, and a brother and sister who are twins – Jim Savage and Carolyn Yealy.  Jane graduated from East High School in Nashville.  She married Bobby in 1960, and moved with him to Texas, where they started their own family.

She spent her life supporting him through college and career moves and partnering with him in pastoring churches and leading mission trips.  She had many jobs of her own (she worked with the Dickson County sheriff's department, was a substitute teacher at William James Junior High School, and volunteered at the Dickson County Help Center), but always put her family first.  Her love and focus in her life was her family.  She has three children:  Carolyn (and Landel) Bilbrey, Sherry (and Mike) Burton, and Robert (and Cathy) Talbert.

She loved, cared for, babysat, supported, and doted on her ten grandchildren. No one could make her smile like they could.   Her grandchildren are Hudson Bilbrey, Clark (and Emma) Bilbrey, Hannah Burton, Abby (and Luke) Smith, Drew Burton, Lydia Burton, Noah Burton, Lucy Talbert, Penelope Talbert, and Harrison Talbert.

She and Bobby were married for 58 years, and they spent many years not only traveling to the Western parts of the US on vacations, but also working on many mission trips together. Together they went on mission trips to Alaska, South Dakota, and El Salvador.  Bobby and Jane were members of Pomona Baptist Church.

Jane loved her family, good coffee, big Christmas celebrations, nutcrackers, Krystal hamburgers, Vacation Bible School, yard sales, hot fudge sundaes, and shopping. She had a mischievous independent streak, a fun sense of humor, and loved life fully.
