Funeral services will be conducted on Friday afternoon, September 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home.  Place of rest will be Union Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday 12:00 noon until the time of service.

Major, Benjamin Franklin “Ben” Myatt, Jr, US Army Retired, age 83 of Dickson, TN passed away at home on September 10, 2018. 

Major Myatt was born February 24, 1935 in Dickson, TN.  He was a son of the late Benjamin F. Myatt, Sr. and Anna Robinson Myatt.  He served his Country for 22 years in the United States Army and participated in 2 tours in Vietnam.  For his service, was awarded 2 Silver Stars and 2 Bronze Stars.  In 1973 he began a career as a Realtor in Dickson County.  He served as president of the local Board of Realtors from 1981 to 1991 and was the owner of Advantage Realty from 1995 to 2004.  Ben was a member of the VFW and the Retired Military Officers Club.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Myatt; step-children, Alison Delmonte, Robert Donegan, Brandon Mione, and Lawrence Mione. Also surviving is his pet Yorkshire Terrier, Elvis.

Major Myatt is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Honorary pallbearers will be, Will Morrison, Beau Morrison, Robert Donegan, Brandon Mione, Lawrence Mione, Seth Street and Mitchell Dugan.
