  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, August 24, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church.  Rev. Dr. Rodney Diggs, officiant and Rev. Cecilia Grimsley, eulogist. Place of rest will be in the East Dickson Cemetery. Visitation with her family will be Friday evening, August 23rd between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. There will be no visitation prior to services on Saturday. 
  Sheila Martin Overton was born on June 1, 1958, in Nashville,  Tennessee, to Laura and Charlie Martin.  She departed this life on August 16,  2019 at Alive Hospice.  She was a faithful member of  Bowman Chapel United Methodist Church in Dickson.  
   Sheila was a graduate of Glencliff High School in Nashville, TN and started working at Ford in March of 1977.  She retired after a long, productive career in 2007. Sheila was very passionate about family and friends, and she lived a generous life that blessed so many people. She was well-known for her special passion for photography and videography. Sheila spent hours upon hours capturing special moments and memories for family and friends. Affectionately known as “SheShe” to her dozens of nieces and nephews—she was absolutely considered a favorite Aunt/Second Mom/Babysitter.
  She is preceded in death by her mother and father Laura and Charlie Martin, her sister - Juanita Mintlow, and brother - Adam Martin.  She leaves behind to mourn her loving husband of 37 years, Russell D.  Overton; Siblings - Eve (Daniel) Petty, Merion Weeden, Charles Martin, Jr., and Dr. Sam Mintlow.  Beloved in-laws Benny (LaRetta) Overton, Lori (Darrel) Tyson, Robert (Anita) Blue, Jr., Cecilia Grimsley all of Dickson, TN, and Randy (Sylvia) Blue of Brentwood, TN; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Laura Blue of Dickson, TN,  and a host of nieces and nephews.  
  Near and very dear to her heart as well - special friends, co-workers and United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 737, Ford Glass Plant, Nashville, TN.
