 Private graveside services will be on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Bro. Steve Baggett will officiate. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.

Mrs. Myatt, 77, of Dickson, TN died unexpectedly March 23, 2020 in Centennial Medical Center.

She was born in Davidson County, daughter of the late John and Catherine Lett Stroud. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and received her B.S. from Peabody College. After leaving college she taught school for several years at Fairview Elementary School.  She married Ray Scott Myatt, Jr in 1966. Joan was a member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ.

 She was so defined by her family, as a wife, mother and grandmother…that was her wealth.  She was  a sweet spirited lady who always shared a soft, warm smile to those around her.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years and 4 months, Ray S. Myatt, Jr. of Dickson, TN, her three daughters, Kim Anderson and her husband, Craig of Dickson, TN, Amy Bonner and her husband, Steve of Franklin, TN and Valerie Jones and her husband, Amos of Brentwood, TN, her ten grandchildren, Taylor Bonner and wife Taylor Leigh, Lincoln Jones, Nathan Anderson, Jonathan Anderson, Katherine Jones, Parker Bonner, Garner Jones, Jean Marie Anderson, Carli Bonner and Melia Anderson, her brother, John Renard Stroud and his wife Charlotte of Mt. Juliet, TN.
