Sally Ann Fiser Taylor Manley, Age 77, of Dickson, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 22, 2012, peacefully at her home after a brief struggle with a brain tumor and other complications.

Sally was born on June 28, 1934, in the Sweet Home community of Cumberland Furnace, TN, in Dickson County to Caleb and Nora Jackson Fiser. She graduated from Charlotte High School in 1952 where she was voted as 'Happiest' in her senior class because of her jovial and outgoing personality.

She worked very hard, mostly in the clothing apparel factories and the nursing home. She retired from Red Cap in Dickson. After retirement, she babysat and enjoyed her two granddaughters, Taylor and Treila Curtis.

Sally has been a Christian for most of her life. She worshiped at the House of Prayer-Trinity Church in McEwen, TN. For over 20 years, she and her husband, John Manley, sang gospel music with their group, the Country Gospel Singers, and traveled throughout middle and west Tennessee and southern Kentucky spreading the gospel of Christ in song. She also lived out her faith by helping others as a faithful servant of Christ.

Sally has endured many hardships and struggles in this life. At an early age of 28, she lost her first husband and became a single parent. Later she remarried and lost her husband when she was 58. Along the way, she had become a very strong and courageous woman who took the responsibilities without murmuring or complaining about her lot in life.

In recent years, Sally enjoyed exercising with her friends in the Silver Sneakers program and participating in activities at the Dickson Senior Citizens Center. She also enjoyed a new found talent of oil painting. But perhaps her greatest past time was having yards sales. She didn't do this to make money, but to be able to meet and talk to people who would come to her home.

Sally is survived by one son, Barry Taylor of Dickson, TN; two daughters, Nora Dawn Taylor (Tony) Curtis of McEwen, TN, and Kim Plant (Mike) Dixon of Lindale, GA; two step-sons, Charles 'Bubba' Taylor of Conway, AR, and Tommy (Linda) Manley of Dickson, TN; one step-daughter, Judy Taylor Viera of Paducah, KY; six grandchildren, Taylor and Treila Curtis, Michael and Charlie Dixon, and Tracy and Cliff Manley; eight step-grandchildren, Brenda, Barbara, Tammy, Rhonda, Wanda, Cindy, Tracey and Jamie; 22 step-great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Carroll (Shirley) Fiser of Dickson, TN; two sisters, Lola Shelton of Charlotte, TN, and Gayle (Ned) Jones of Bon Aqua, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Walter 'Boots' Taylor and John C. Manley, one step-son, Walter 'Sonny' Taylor; one step-grandson, Tracy Taylor; five brothers, Lucien, Warner, William, Joe and Dan Fiser; and two sisters, Lucille Hall and Dorothy Hayes.

A Celebration of Life was held Monday, June 25, 2012 at 1pm in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, TN, with Bro. Kent Curtis and Bro. Tony Curtis officiating. Interment followed at the Union Cemetery.
