Funeral services for Brother Charles “Chuck” Conner will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastors David Coulter, Jeff Lankford, and Donnie Craig officiating. Place of rest will be Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Brother “Chuck” Conner will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers please bring pet food and cat litter to the funeral home prior to visitation and funeral services. These donations will be delivered to the Dickson County Humane Society in Chuck’s honor.

Brother Charles “Chuck” Conner entered the Lord’s presence on Saturday the 7th day of November 2020 with his wife of 54 years by his side.

Chuck was born in Knoxville, TN to the late Mr. William Conner & Mrs. Lillie Conner. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Robert, Paul, Kenneth, Frank, Bill, & J.N Conner; sisters Wanda Conner, and Sue Tipton.

Brother Chuck worked in various roles for the American Red Cross. His roles varied from clerical positions to driving the large “Blood Mobile Bus.”

Brother Chuck had a passion for serving the Lord. He ministered to countless souls through his music. He played and sang in several churches in the greater Dickson area. He also carried his music ministry into the local nursing homes.

As you know, Brother Chuck loved first the Lord and second his wife Betty of 54 years. He also had a passion for his pets and wildlife. Chuck had birds, cats, dogs, and rabbits. His dogs Riley & Skittles are two of his pets that held an extra special place in his heart through the years.

Some might not have known that Chuck loved to go to amusement parks and ride roller coasters and adrenaline-pumping rides.

Chuck leaves behind his loving wife Betty Conner of Dickson, brothers; Leroy Conner of Orlando, FL, & Wayne Conner of Knoxville, TN; sisters; Barbra Allen of Knoxville, TN, & Brenda Siler (Ken) of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.  Brother Chuck also leaves behind a host of Church friends and family to serve the Lord until we all meet again.
