 Funeral services for Janice Marie Swinney Parnell, age 77 of Dickson, will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, December 21st from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Ken Metcalf officiating.  Interment will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery with David Faulks officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Sunday and from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday.  For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  **DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE WEARING OF FACIAL COVERINGS, THE PRACTICE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING AND ADHERENCE TO CDC GUIDELINES WILL BE REQUIRED DURING VISITATION AND FUNERAL SERVICE.**  The service will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.  To view a livestream of the service on Monday at 11:00 AM, click HERE.  

 Mrs. Parnell died Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Horizon Medical Center. 

Born in Amarillo, TX, Mrs. Parnell was the daughter of the late William Edward and Ermarie Reneau Swinney.  She was married to George L. Parnell and retired as a claims representative in the insurance industry.  She was a member of Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas.  Mrs. Parnell was also predeceased by a son, Mark Alan Parnell, and a brother, Dennis Swinney.

Survivors include her husband, George L. Parnell, Dickson; her son, Brian Parnell (Lisa), Thompson Station, TN; her daughter, Pamela Ann Fink (Ray), Kirkland, WA; two sisters, Shirley May, Rogers, AR, and Linda Turnbeaugh, Springdale, AR; grandchildren, Mark Parnell (Rachel), Andrew Parnell, Collin Fink (Sarah), and Fletcher Davis (Kira); and one great-granddaughter, Zealyn Parnell.
