Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Sesler officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynick Cemetery in Vanleer. Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service also at the funeral home.

For those desiring, Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Waynick Cemetery Fund.

Mr. Walter Lee Waynick, Jr., age 92 of Vanleer, passed away on February 22, 2021 at NHC of Dickson. He was born on March 29, 1928 in Houston County to the late Walter and Tennie Lewis Waynick. He was married to the love of his life, Betty Louise Barnes Waynick for over 69 years.

Walter served his country in the United States Army stationed in Hawaii from 1946-1947. He then went on to work for Teledyne Technologies as a precision welder for over 30 years. He loved the outdoors, and spending his free time working on his farm, hunting, or fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Dennis Lee Waynick.

Survivors include his wife: Betty Waynick; his daughter: Linda Waynick Trejo of Vanleer; his sister: Tennie Mae Williams of Vanleer; his grandchildren: Kenneth Lee Waynick of Dickson, Jessica Trejo Rivera (Caesar) of Texas, Andres Waynick Trejo (Rebecca) of Ohio, Jaime Waynick Trejo of Nashville, and Cindi Lee Waynick of Ohio; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
