 With profound sadness we announce the passing of Belinda Simon. She was a kindhearted gentle soul who greeted everyone with a smile.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday evening, April 24, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Wes Sesler will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Entombment will be at sunset following the service at the Chapel of Prayer Mausoleum Columbarium at Dickson County Memorial Gardens.

Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the St. Patrick's School 175 St. Patrick Street, McEwen, TN 37101, or Last Chance Pet Rescue, 534 East Side Dr., White Bluff, TN.  The suggested memorials may also be left in the care of Taylor Funeral Home.

Belinda, age 59, died peacefully April 15, 2021 at her home.

She spent her lifetime utilizing her business degree in various fashions she was the owner and operator of Charlotte’s Country Group Home, administrator assistant at credit bureau of Dickson, accountant/manager/sales clerk and mom at the local Sears family store and spent her latest years serving the public as a clerk at the US Postal Service.  Through all her public service the service she held closest to her heart was to her family. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother and grandmother “Ma” and extended mother to many. She showed an undying love for her animals and had a passion for flowers. 

A darling friend to many. She could be best described as a sweet, kind but a spunky little woman who showed her personality through her choice of vehicles. Some would even say she changed them as often as her pants.  This hardworking women with tenacity, charm and grace can be summed up in her favorite bible verse “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25. 

Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31:31.

She will greatly be missed by all. 

Survivors include her three daughters, Shonda Simon of Dickson, TN, Heather Allsbrooks and husband Matt of Charlotte, TN, Lori Stokes and husband Brad of Dickson, TN; the father of her children, Chet Simon of Dickson, TN; her grandchildren, Parker Bingham, Noah Allsbrooks, Natali Allsbrooks, Katelynn Allsbrooks, J. P. Stokes, Simon Stokes; her two brothers, Bobby D. Barker, Jr. of Dickson, TN and Terrell L. Barker and wife Shannon of Lyles, TN; her sister, Teresa Barker Tinsley of Charlotte, TN; several nieces and nephews.
