James Gordon "Bud" Polk

 Funeral services for Mr. James Gordon “Bud” Polk, age 82 of Bon Aqua were conducted Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. from the New Spring Creek Church of Christ with his Grandson Alex McFarlin officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 2 P.M.

Mr. Polk died Monday June 16, 2014 at Horizon Medical Center. He was the son of the late Jesse Gordon Polk and Gladys F. Kyte Polk Dixon and was preceded in death by his first wife, Pat Polk. Bud retired after 33 years with Ford Motor Glass Company as an Inspector, he owned Manicure Lawn Care Service for over 50 years and was a former Elder at New Spring Creek Church of Christ and a Deacon at Radnor Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Korean War and was a member of the New Spring Creek Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Polk of Bon Aqua; Sons, Monty Polk and wife Kristie of Dallas, Texas; John Polk of Nashville; Daughters, Donna Burroughs and husband Berri of Nolensville; Angie Lococo and husband Lenny of Clarksville; Step-son, Aryc Drummond of Concord, California; Step-daughter, Vicki Walker of Palatine, Illinois; Brother, James Polk; Sisters, Dot Waldron of Caseyville, Illinois; JoAnn Waldron of Whitleyville; Judy Jennings of Nolensville; Janie Coleman of Keystone, Florida; Grandchildren, Chris MacFarlane; Nick MacFarlane; Alex McFarlin; Vinny Lococo; Brianna Smith; Lauren Polk; Great Grandchildren, Clara; Ethan; Lily.
