     Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery.  Military honors will be conducted at the gravesite following chapel services.
     Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday, April 4th beginning at 12 noon until time of service.
     Mr. Powers, age 70,  died April 3, 2015 in Hillcrest Healthcare in Ashland City.
     He was born in Charlotte,Tennessee and was the son of the late Willie, Sr. and Maxie Marie Berryman Powers. He was a
heavy equipment operator with the Dickson County Landfill and later began working at the convenience centers for Dickson County. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He received the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal Sharp Shooter M16.
     He is survived by his wife; Patricia Reutzel Powers of Dickson,TN, His son; Willie P. Powers, III and his wife, Cathy of Bon Aqua, TN, His Daughers; Catherine King and her husband, Mark of Dickson, TN, and Mary Stewart and her husband, Quency of Kingston Springs, TN, His Brother; Gary Powers of Dickson,TN, His Sister; Wanda Hasley of McEwen, TN,, His six Grandchildren; Monet' Jones, Kureon Pollard, Alessia Powers, Davion Primm, Queen Stewart, and Sydney King, Several nieces and nephews.
      Pallbearers will be  Quency Stewart, Kureon Pollard, Gary Powers, Jr., Willie Powers, III, Chris Lewis, and Richard Stewart.
