Mr. William Russell “Bill” Klahn, age 86 of Burns, died late Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Dickson Health Care.  A memorial service for Mr. Bill Klahn was conducted Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. from the Burns Church of Christ with Bro. Matthew Hiatt officiating.  Place of rest will be at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.



Bill was a retired draftsman for the steel industry.  A native of Gary, Indiana he was the son of the late Harry Albert Klahn and Cecilia Eunice Nye Klahn. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Mae Klahn. Bill was a draftsman for 32 years with U.S. Steel and also served as a minister of the Christian Church of 20 years serving churches in Kentucky, Arkansas and Tennessee. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of World War II and a member of the Burns Church of Christ.


 Survivors include his wife, Sarah Klahn of Burns, TN; two sons, Dewey Klahn and wife Ellen of Mt. Juliet, TN; Mark Ingram  and wife Wendy of Whites Creek, TN; five daughters, Vicki Drummond of Gillespie, IL; Debbie Klahn of Gillespie, IL; Diane Klemm of Mt. Juliet, TN; Rhonda Ringwald and husband Jeff of Cincinnati, OH; Debi Stanley and husband Dan of Alpina, AR; three brothers, Norman Klahn of McBain, MI; James Klahn of Crown Point, IN; Danny Klahn of Arizona; one sister, Carolyn Durham of South Haven, IN; seven grandchildren, Wendy Ingram; Michelle Hamilton; Daniel Miller; John Klahn; Christy Downey; Andrew Klahn; Janelle Klemm; thirteen great grandchildren, Ashley Hill; Colten Ingram; Max Ringwald; Natalie Ringwald; Alex Ingram; Alyssa Hamilton; Ryan Hamilton; Joshua Hamilton; Caleb Miller; Dominic Klahn; Jackson Klahn; Delaney Klahn; Stella Klahn; four great great grandchildren.
