Charles Brandon Gooch – Age 41 of Lyles, TN passed away suddenly on January 19, 2019.

Brandon was preceded in death by his mother, Sherrie Heggie Edwards; grandparents, Lynville Gooch, Garland Heggie and Marlene Heggie.

He is survived by his children, Brandon Wesley Gooch, Michael Shane Gooch and Kerri Elaine “Lanie” Gooch; father, Kerry Gooch and his wife Marilyn; grandmother, Jean Gooch; brothers, Jeremy Neil Gooch and Christopher Aaron Gooch; girlfriend, Traci Woods; his children’s mother, Karen Petty Sager and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Brandon will be remembered for his zest for living. He embodied the word free-spirit. He had an immense love for the outdoors and enjoyed his hobbies: singing, song-writing, and cooking. He was a talented musician who enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, banjo, and drums. Music was a highlight in his life, but what was most important to him was his family and friends. His children were his entire world. He loved them more than life itself. Brandon was so proud of his son Wesley’s sportsmanship and athletic ability, as well as his courage and character. Shane inherited his father’s love of nature. Brandon took pride in Shane’s respect for God’s creation. His daughter Lanie shared his love of animals. He admired how kind and loving she is towards them. He was so very proud of all three of them.

Faith in Christ was important in his life. It guided him through many trials. One of the scriptures in the notes from his bible was 1 Thessalonians 5:9 “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Anyone who ever met Brandon would know what a kind and gentle heart he had. He will be greatly missed!
