 Private family graveside services will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at Dickson Union Cemetery. Bro. Joe Shannon will officiate. Place of rest in the Dickson Union Cemetery.

Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the Dickson Community Clinic or to the Dickson Senior Center.

Mr. Weiss, age 86, of Dickson, TN died Friday May 1, 2020 at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center after a short stay.

He was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, the son of the late Max and Bertha Mae Sears Weiss. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Alice Ann Few Weiss in 2018.

Mr. and Mrs. Weiss were a part of the Downtown business district for many years. Starting with Alice Ann’s father Mr. James Orland Few in the Kelley Dry Cleaners.  They owned and operated the former Town and Country Shoppe, a ladies’ apparel shop, for many years. The ladies shop got its start in the lobby of the former Kelley Dry Cleaners and later found a permanent home in the heart of downtown Dickson.  The store closed in the mid 1990’s. Mr. Weiss was a sales representative for a costume jewelry company Berns-Freedman Co and the Marc Chantal Co., a ladies’ shoe and bag company.  In their line of work, they attended many apparel shows to keep up with styles and trends. Mr. Weiss owned and operated the Knoxville Apparel Club and was former president of the Blue Grass Women’s Apparel and the Middle Tennessee Fashion Exhibitors.

Mr. Weiss proudly served on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Dickson since December 1986 and was currently serving as Director Emeritus.  He served on the former Baptist Hospital Board as a lay member.

First in his life was his family. His late wife, Alice, his son, his daughter-in-law and his grandsons.  They were the love of his life.  He was a great husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his son, Dr. Don L. Weiss, Jr. and his wife, Dr. Lori Weiss; his two grandsons, Trae Weiss and his wife, McKayla and Taylor Weiss; and Five nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers in absentia will be the Officers and Directors of the Bank of Dickson and the active casket bearers in absentia will be Stewart Culpepper, Lamar Gassett, Dale Ragan, Richard Arnold, Greg Kelley and Jimmy Petty.  His grandsons Trae and Taylor will also serve as casket bearers
