 Funeral services for Joel Wayne “Bo” Woodard, age 61 of White Bluff, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Riley officiating.  Interment will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service.  For those desiring, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Humane Society of Dickson County.  Mr. Woodard died Monday, June 29, 2020 at his home.

Born in Dickson County, “Bo” was the son of the late Carlton Leon and Shirley Arlene Williams Woodard.  By trade, he was a skilled, self-employed carpenter.  By choice, his family meant everything to him; especially his grandkids.  “Bo” also enjoyed riding motorcycles and going fishing.  Besides his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Ricky Woodard.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Gilliam Woodard, White Bluff; his daughter, Cheryl Suggs (Jeffrey), Cumberland Furnace; his sons, Bryan Woodard (Kellie), White Bluff, and Barrett Ray, Knoxville; two grandchildren, Levi Suggs and Jenna Suggs; three sisters, Diane Whitfield (Dale), Carol Sue Moore (Steve), and Tracy Woodard, all of White Bluff; several nieces and nephews.
