 Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Her son Larry Street and Jessie Hood will preside. Place of rest will be in the Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday beginning at 12 Noon until service time. Mrs. Street, age 97, of Dickson, TN died October 11, 2020 at NHC of Dickson, TN.

She was born in Humphreys County, daughter of the late Dossie Ezra and Anna Eliza Adams Dotson. During her life she played several titles, Wife, Mother, Sister, Ping and probably the most popular was Granny Ping.  She was the widow of the late Harris Edward Street who died in 1983. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Arthur Dotson, Marble (Bubba) Dotson, Lucian Dotson, Raymond Dotson, Lyndon Dotson, Ova Lee Parchman, Oretha Parchman and Imogene Constant.

During her working years Mrs. Street worked as a seamstress with the former Red Cap Industries and worked with McEwen Manufacturing.

Granny Ping could always meet and greet you with an inviting and contagious smile and that loving spit fire and sassy spirit.  She never lost her zest for life and her witty sense of humor even up until the days before her transition to eternity.

During the summer she loved mowing her grass and just waiting to see it grow until time to mow again. Also during the summer months she loved being a homemaker doing her canning and preparing for the months ahead.  In the winter months it was her time to stay in an enjoying her quilting.

Mrs. Street was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She was a woman of faith and deeply loved her church and church family.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Melissa Street of Dickson TN, her two granddaughters, Mandy Roberts, Meegan Cardwell and her husband Brandon, her great grandchildren, Ryann and Charlie Roberts, Hutch and Cooper Cardwell and Gentry Cardwell. Several nieces and nephews.
