 Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Dr. Jimmy Overton will be delivering his eulogy.  Place of rest will be in the Worley Furnace Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening, October 29th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday beginning at 12 Noon until time of service. Mr. Hannah, age 81, a lifelong resident and fixture of Dickson, TN died suddenly October 25, 2020 at Tri Star Horizon Medical Center.

He was born and raised in Dickson, TN and was the son of the late Lula Hannah and was lovingly cared for by the late Sam and Christine Hannah.  He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted daughter, Crystal Hannah, his sister, Hattie Pearl Hannah and his brother, Oliver Hannah. Mr. Hannah was a graduate of the former Hampton High School. 

He owned and operated the A and H Garage for many years in Dickson, and was a school bus driver for twenty plus years with the Dickson County Board of Education. He was a self-employed businessman, a master mechanic, and a car salesman by trade.  His garage served as a gathering place for friends to gather and solve the problems of the world.  Robert Hannah was one of Dickson’s most loved citizens.  The profile of our community has changed forever. He was a faithful and devoted member and Trustee of the Beth-el Missionary Baptist Church in Lyles, TN.

Robert Hannah had a loving and giving heart. He was always willing to help anyone whenever he was asked. He greeted everyone with a genuine heart-felt and contagious smile.

He leaves to cherish his earthly memories his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Geneva Hardison Hannah, Loving granddaughter, Abagail Morgan, brother-in-law, Garry Hardison and his wife Mai of Cottontown, TN, a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends, Richard Anderson and Huey Lee Modena, devoted nephews, Eric and Wendell Brown, and his devoted Pastor and friend, Dr. Jimmy Overton.
