Wilma Jean Wall Heath, age 90, died peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

She was born in Dickson County to the late Slayden and Artie Bell Jackson Wall. She was a graduate of the Class of 1948 from Charlotte High School.

She married Leon Heath in 1949 & they owned Heath's Grocery in Charlotte (current location of Sweet Charlotte's). Shortly afterwards, they moved to their farm on Old Stage Rd & became dairy farmers for many years. Mrs. Wilma milked twice a day every day while maintaining their home, cooking meals, growing gardens, tending grandkids & great-grandkids, choreographing the best “popcorn dances” to the beat of popcorn popping simply to entertain her grandkids, & anything else that needed to be done.

Her true passion was always her family & feeding anyone she could with her wonderful cooking. She never met a stranger & treated everyone with love & kindness. She was truly one-of-a-kind, so it’s not surprising that she hosted one-of-a-kind 4th of July celebrations that are still talked & laughed about to this day. All of the generations of friends affectionately called her "Jean" like all of her own grandkids did, which was fitting because she treated them just like they were her own, too.

Mrs. Heath was a member of the Water Street Church of Christ & loved delivering Meals on Wheels in the Charlotte community.

Survivors include her children: Phil Heath & Jackie McClelland; her four grandchildren: Jeanae Bates (Johnny), Stephanie Heath (Michael Burgess), Cooper Heath (Jennifer Shively), & Janna McClelland Abraham; her eight great-grandchildren: Erica Rahman (Michael Street), Sloan Williams (Jamey), Charlie Heath, Taylor Heath (Kincaid Lewis), Heath Bates, Quinton Bates, Lizzie Heath, Sami Heath, & Sophie Burgess; her two great-great-grandchildren: Kennedi Street & Sage Lewis. Also surviving is her sister, Amy Ruth Jackson (Joe), & several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 49yrs, Charles Leon Heath, her loving son-in-law for 49 years, Joel McClelland, two brothers, & a sister.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Grove, JJ Davis, Bob Denney, Jamey Williams, Michael Burgess, Michael Street, Chalie Heath and Clint Welker.
