(3/27/49 - 12/28/20) (71)

THE MAN. THE MYTH. THE LEGEND.

Tom passed away suddenly at his home in Burns, TN on December 28, 2020.  A wounded combat veteran, Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He retired from General Motors in Michigan at the young age of 50 when he then moved to Burns, Tennessee where he enjoyed retirement golfing with life-long friends at Greystone in Dickson, TN and occasional trips with them to Tunica, MS.

Above all else Tom treasured his family, especially his 49-year marriage to the love of his life, Linda.  Although COVID prevented him from enjoying many of his routine hobbies, it afforded him the opportunity to spend most mornings having breakfast and spending lots of time with his grandchildren whom each were the apple of his eye.

Tom loved good food (Alibi Pizza, Chick-Fil-A, Stoney River); good shopping at Dillard’s; was always the best-dressed...always; loved watching Detroit LIONS football or golf with his mini-Schnauzer, Hannah, on his lap.    He had the greenest grass in Dickson County, the cleanest garage and Cadillacs.   He loved Black Russians, Diet Cokes and Marlboro lights.  Those who knew him appreciated his great sense of humor, love of life and generous heart.  Tom was uncompromising in nature, opinionated and lovingly picked on people whenever he got the chance.

So much more could be said of this wonderful husband, dad, 'poppy', brother and friend.  Above all, he was the rock of our family and his memory will forever be treasured in our hearts!

Survivors include his wife, Linda J. McGee, Burns, TN; his daughters, Kim McGee Sellers (Jamie) and Tami L. Brundage, both of Burns; his sister, Barbara L. Miller (Tom), Clio, MI; his grandchildren, Joshua Brundage, McKenzi Brundage, Reagan Sellers, Thomas Sellers, and Demi-Lynn Sellers; and two nephews.

There will be a Celebration of life at GREYSTON GOLF, Dickson, TN and Rochester Hills Christian Church, Rochester Hills, MI at a later date due to COVID.
