     Funeral services will be Sunday February 21, 2021 at 2:30 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Terrance Miller of Mt. Pleasant C.M.E. officiating and Dr. Terry L. Haynes Eulogist. Place of rest will be in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Sunday February 21st from 1 PM until time of service and she will be out for viewing on Saturday from 2 to 5 PM. To view her funeral Sunday at 2:30 PM, click HERE.
     Anna Jessie Haynes, age 88 of Dickson, TN passed away on February 13, 2021 peacefully at home. She was born on April 24, 1932 to the late Elder James Hubert and Lorene Marsh Hall. She was happily married to Romana Haynes, Sr. who preceded her in death and she was also preceded by her grandson, Dhahron Martez Page-Haynes. She had three sisters and two brothers, who also preceded her in death; Ella Mae, Princilla, Hattie Bell (Hall) Satterfield, James Arthur and Hubert Hall, Jr.
     She received her education in the Dickson County School System, graduating from Hampton High School, Class of 1951. She began her walk with Christ at a young age. As a mother she was very supportive of her 2 sons in the ministry, Dr. Terry L. Haynes and Pastor Dwight Haynes. Prior to her illness she was a faithful member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Dickson, TN.
     She was a hard-working lady, who loved her family and friends. A women of God who was highly respected in the community. Anna was the first African American to work at the Shirt Factory in Dickson, TN. She was an excellent cook, who shred her cooking with the residents of Dickson, prior to her retirement. From her you could learn what it was like being a child of God, how faith can sustain you through hard times. Even when times were hard, she never complained, because she knew that God would never put more on her than what she could bare.

      Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen Barrett Talley (David) of Nashville, TN, Allison Talley of Charlotte, TN; sons, Romana Haynes, Jr. (Norma) of Dickson, TN, Dr. Terry L. Haynes (Regina) of Dickson, TN, Charles Haynes of Nashville, TN, Dwight Haynes (Donna) of Dickson, TN; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
