Rose Marie Connelly passed away on April 6, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis T. Connelly, son Thomas Connelly, and daughter Frances Connelly. She is survived by daughters, Marianne Chalet of Hobe Sound, Fl and Patricia Connelly of White Bluff, TN. She will be lovingly missed by her grandchildren, Christine Georgeadis (Stavros) Sean Petrin, Jacob Lindner and great grandson, Ethan Georgeadis. Rose was loved by many in her community, her home always filled with friends.
Rose was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts on Jan. 9, 1919. She married Francis Connelly and had four children, Thomas, Marianne, Patricia and Frances. While raising her children, she ran her own hair salon out of her home. Rose and her husband lived in Florida for many years until his death in 1989, it was then that Rose decided to move to Dickson, TN to be close to her youngest daughter, Frances and her grandson, Jacob Lindner.
Rose lived in Dickson and WhiteBluff for over 30 years. It was here that she thrived surrounded by family and a close-knit group of friends that became like family. Rose lived on her own up to a few weeks ago and was thankful for all of her friends and neighbors from the community who always stopped in to check on her, took care of her and enjoyed chatting with her over a cup of coffee. Asked about the secret to living over 100 years old, Rose always said, “Clean living (no smoking or drinking) and eating lots of junk food!”
