Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Overton officiating. Dr. Randy Ramey will deliver the eulogy. Place of rest will be in the East Dickson Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday, July 29 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service also at the funeral home.
Deric Lamont “Franky” Fossie, age 54 of Dickson, TN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at his home. He was born on October 13, 1966 in Dickson, TN to the late Clarence and Maybellen Grigsby Fossie. Franky had worked for several years at Quebecor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Deon Fossie; his paternal grandparents: Zedrick and Velma Flowers Fossie; and his maternal grandparents: Herman and Brownie Grigsby.
Survivors include his brothers: Devel Fossie (Debbie Collins) of Dickson, TN and Samuel Edward Newsome (Sallie Talley) of Nashville, TN; his aunts: Bettie Robertson, Delois Fossie, and Doris Grigsby; his uncle: Marvin Fossie; nieces and nephews: Derenda Dixon, Clarence Fossie, Diondre Fossie, and LeJuan Dixon; great nephew: Mario Dixon; and very special friends: Roger and Victoria Myatt, Ashley Stokes, and Jet Rollins.
