 Mr. Robin Kirk Potter, age 54, formerly of Dickson and Covington, TN died at his home in Manvel, Texas on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, TN with Dr. Kerry Ross, David Lowe, and Bro. Stephen Cathey speaking.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Place of rest will be in the Fews Chapel Cemetery in McEwen, TN.  To view a livestream of the service on Wednesday at 12:00 Noon, please click HERE.

A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 9:00AM-11:00AM in Covington, TN at the Crestview Middle School where Kirk had served in many capacities. 

A second memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 starting at 3:00PM in Pearland, Texas at The Pearland Theater Guild where Kirk often volunteered for various productions.

Kirk was born on October 8, 1966 in Jackson, TN. He graduated from Union University with a B.A in Education in 1993 and was a member of the Tennessee Eta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.  He later graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a M.E. in Administration in 1999. 

Kirk was a dedicated and passionate educator. He reached the lives of many students over the span of his career as a youth director, teacher, coach, athletic director and assistant principal. Throughout his life, Kirk was an equally dedicated and passionate University of Tennessee football fan. He will always be remembered for wearing the trademark Vols orange and shouting “Go Vols!” at every opportunity he could- even at his wedding.

Mr. Potter is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sampson Potter; their children, Reagan and Knox Potter; his parents, Charles and Betty Potter; his siblings, Keith Potter (Kelly), Karen Blackmon (Mark), Ken Potter (Christie), and Kevin Potter (Rena); 7 nieces and 4 nephews; 1 great niece and 2 great nephews.
