Born in Dickson, Bud was the son of the late Mable and Bud Etheridge, Sr. Bud served his country during the Korean War as a United States Air Force veteran. He was married to Frances Mahoney Etheridge, who survives. They were predeceased by a son, Mark Etheridge in 1976. Bud was a pipefitter and formerly worked for TVA. He retired at an early age and worked other jobs locally, serving his friends and neighbors and those who needed his help. He and his wife both spent many hours in volunteer service to their church, Dickson First United Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Etheridge, Dickson; his son, Doug Etheridge (Pam), Charlotte; grandchildren, Amy Fizer (Anthony), Brandon Etheridge (Katie), and Justin Etheridge (Meghann); great-grandchildren, Annabelle Fizer, Aiden Fizer, Parker Etheridge, Landon Etheridge, Collin Etheridge, and Mackenzie Etheridge.
