Aaron was born in Nashville, TN to DeAnn Nicholson and Charles Rumford. Aaron was a graduate of Creekwood Highschool and later attended Freed-Hardeman University. Trooper Rumford started his law enforcement career a bit earlier than most by being selected as an intern for the Tennessee Highway Patrol. After his internship, he knew the Tennessee Highway Patrol was the career he wanted. He became a Tennessee State Trooper in 2015. He was assigned to Wilson County once he graduated from the academy. He later applied to be a part of the Executive Protection Unit, and he was selected for this prestigious assignment. Trooper Rumford excelled at his work and was admired by his coworkers and the dignitaries he protected.
While Aaron loved to work, he had a servant’s heart. He loved to attend church and participate in mission trips on a local and global level. He wanted to make sure people saw the Lord through him and the life that he lived.
Aaron was an outdoors kind of guy. He loved to play volleyball, hike, bicycle, and ride his motorcycle. He was a sports fan as well. He loved to cheer on the Tennessee Titans. Aaron was also competitive; he was an avid gamer, and he enjoyed playing cards as well. He loved to play Call of Duty and Yu-GI-Oh.
Left to cherish his memories is his mother DeAnn Nicholson and Marty Pryor of White Bluff; father, Charles Rumford (Misty) of Decaturville; brother, Justin Rumford (Kari) of White Bluff; grandmother, Beverly Crunk of Dickson; nieces, Akyna Rochelle and Graycei Vanderpool. He is also survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, along with his Tennessee Highway Patrol Family.
