A funeral service will take place on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. James Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Rye’s Chapel Cemetery in Montgomery County. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, April 3, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12 noon until the time of service.
Victor Carlton Bolton – better known as “Pooty”—age 60, of Cumberland Furnace, TN, passed away on April 1, 2022, at the Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. Born in St. Louis Missouri on April 18, 1961, to Ruby Mae Groves Bolton and the late Melvin Lee Bolton, Sr. He had worked as a farmer for several years.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles Bolton and Melvin Bolton, Jr.
Survivors include his mother: Ruby Bolton of Cumberland Furnace; his brother: James Ellis of Cumberland Furnace; his sisters: Linda Harrison and Kathy Crowder, both of Cumberland Furnace; his nieces and nephews: April Terrell, Amy Bolton, Chris Bolton, Daniel Bolton, Karen Jensen, Andrew Bolton, Scotty Bolton, Stephanie Crowder, Michael “Bubba” Crowder, Jr., and Brittnie Bryant; as well as several great nieces and great nephews.
