Born in White Bluff, Clara was the daughter of the late Clarence Hamilton and Lenora Neblett Hamilton (Kerr). She was a member of the White Bluff Church of Christ and retired as a maintenance worker for the former William James Jr. High School.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Cathey (Ira), Tucson, AZ, Rickey Cathey (Connie), White Bluff, and Johnny Cathey (Heather), Dickson; two daughters, Shirley Taylor, Dickson, and Vickie Brown (Michael), Mt. Juliet; two brothers, William Roy Hamilton (Ann) and James Kerr, both of White Bluff; sister-in-law, Shirley Hamilton, White Bluff; grandchildren, Tracie Taylor, Mike Brown, Eric Brown, Loren Roberts, and Amanda Pack; great-grandchildren, Talan, Caleb, Maddox, Jerrika, Derrick, Saylor, Ethan, and Hailey.
She was preceded by three children, Billy Cathey, Lisa Cathey, and Charlotte Cathey; a brother, Howard Hamilton; and by two sisters, Louise Welker and Anita Scarbo.
