Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. from the Walnut Street Church of Christ. Brother Steve Baggett will officiate, and Adam Simon will share personal reflections. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, June 29, 2022 at Taylor Funeral Home between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The second visitation will be on Thursday at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m. until service time. TJ Pass, age 45, of Dickson, TN died June 23, 2022. He was born on May 6, 1977, in Nashville, TN to Payton Bobby Pass and Shirley Jean Mallory.
TJ Pass was a pillar of the Dickson community. TJ’s accomplishments include but are not limited to beloved member of the recovery community, deacon at Walnut Street Church of Christ, and teacher of recovery bible studies. He was the founder of Eagle’s Bridge, and he worked with Drug Court, as well as a volunteer and alumni of Discovery Place. He was also a college graduate, bail bondsman, marriage officiant, balloonist, magician, public speaker, successful insurance agent, nationally renowned family SUD interventionist, and recovery coach. In addition, he was the founder, owner, and operator of EB Family Intervention Team. He was a visionary, friend, brother, husband, father, and most importantly a child of Christ.
TJ Pass was a light in a dark world. He was most fulfilled when he was giving of himself to share God with others. He had an uncanny gift to walk into a room, take it over, and brighten it immediately. He would walk away leaving all those present with hope for a better life. He has professionally served approximately 400 families in his time as a Certified Family Interventionist and Recovery Coach. However, his personal life includes thousands of souls that he poured into daily so that they could walk a different path.
TJ was an unwavering friend to all he met. He was the best of all of us. He was a once in a generation spirit in the lives of all who encountered him. He changed the world. His touch and word will forever be stained upon our community and across the nation of all those who live abundantly because of their meeting of TJ Pass. God’s story through his life is what we all hope for. To know TJ Pass was to know that there is a God, and He loves you and that He wants you in His life. The greatest legacy is that when you think of TJ, that your mind quickly shifts towards God. He was one of God’s special kids.
Of all of TJ’s accomplishments, his greatest was the steadfast love and devotion he poured into his wife and their three boys, who were the pride of his life. TJ was a dedicated husband and father. The family he built with Bekah will stand as his legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his special uncle, Bill Pass.
TJ is survived by his wife of 16 years, Rebekah Williams Pass; his three sons, Griffin, Hudson, and Evan Pass; his brother, David Pass; his aunt, Norma Jean Pass; his nieces and nephews; Katrinna (Keith) Pittman, Tyler Pass, Molly, Owen, and Graham Peeler; his in-laws, Danny and Terri Williams; his sister-in-law, Leah (Eric) Peeler; and a host of dear friends.
