Margaret Alice Baker Duke, age 96, of Dickson, passed away on July 21, 2022, in her home. She was born in Dickson County on July 16, 1926, to the late Austin and Hilda Bowker Baker. She worked for several years as a cook and cafeteria worker for the Dickson County Board of Eduacation.
Ms. Duke was of the Pentecostal faith. She also had a love for cooking. She was a great cook and also thoroughly enjoyed watching wrestling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Orland Russell Duke; her daughter: Barbara Ann Rice; her grandson: Cody Smith; six sisters; two brothers; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughters: Sherry Sue Smith (David) of Burns, and Linda Faye Wells of Dickson; her grandchildren: Scotty Wells, Mark Wells, Todd Wells, Wendell Wells, Phillip Wells, Tammy Wilson, Ritchie Rice, and Trent Smith; as well as 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
