James Robert Schacher, 64 yrs. old from Ballston Spa, NY, passed away at home on July 31, 2022, while surrounded by family.
In 1996 Jim and his family relocated to Nashville, TN where he continued to be a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and doing home projects including studio work, and jamming with his closest friends. Jim had tremendous musical talent, playing with many musicians from all over. He spent many years as lead guitarist for T.G Sheppard. His favorite gig was playing with his wife Donna for over 30 years in Bandolero and several other bands that brought joy to his life. He was a man who touched many people through his music, kindness, laughter and genuine spirit.
Jim was preceded in death by parents, George and Marzetta Schacher.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Phillips Schacher; his three daughters, Tanya (Ben) Rives, Jessi (Tyren) McCauley, and Taryn (Travis) Schacher; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Alexis), Riley, Grayson, Raegan, Lexi, Alyssa, and Jase; great-grandchildren, Xandria and Amoura; brother, George (Cherry) Schacher; sister, Marilyn (Jim) Fino; brother, Don (Sherilyn) Phillips; brother, Joseph Phillips; mother-in-law, Joyce-Marie McCauley.
Jim also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, and loving friends around the world.
At Jim’s request there will not be a funeral service. The family will hold a celebration of life. Details to be determined.
