Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 18, 2022, from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Mitchell Cathey officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Alma Jean Durham, age 80, of Dickson, TN, passed away on November 14, 2022 at Trevecca Center for Rehab and Healing in Nashville, TN.
Alma was born on January 17, 1942 to the late Vernon Grady Emmett and Myrtle Denton Emmett. She had worked at Nashville Wire for 38 years. She loved to sing and dance and sang at many churches all throughout Dickson, TN, Clarksville, TN, Missouri and other places. She loved to take pictures and had thousands. Above all, she loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. They could stay for weeks at a time, leaving the house a disaster, but that didn’t matter to her if they were having fun.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; James Emmett and her sister; Agnes Overstreet.
