James “J.L.” Dotson, age 64 of Smyrna, formerly of Dickson, TN died on January 8, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro Danny Tidwell officiating. Place of rest will be in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Mr. Dotson was born August 29, 1958 in Dickson, TN. He was a son of the late Thomas Marvin “Tom” Dotson and the late Bobby Jean Harrell Dotson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Wayne Dotson.
J.L. is survived by his children, William Dotson (Anneliese Wolf), Brenda Dotson, and Dana Dotson; his sisters, Brenda Crawford and Sheila Parsley; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Dotson, Kena Dotson, Jazlynne Hart, Tegan Hart, Daimon Hardin, and Cynthia Hardin.
