Arthur Boyd Heggie, age 89, of Burns, TN died peacefully June 24, 2023 at the Dickson Health and Rehab with his family by his side.
He was born in Montgomery County January 29, 1934 and was the son of the late Hillman and Maggie Nola Tanner Heggie. He was a retired brick and block mason. Mr. Heggie was of the Christian faith. He was raised in a large family and was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 7 sisters. He also was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda.
Paw Paw as he was called by many loved fishing, roller skating, gardening both flowers and vegetables. He also loved spending time camping, playing guitar and going to the Great Smoky Mountains. His time he spent with his family and cookouts out at the barn was truly his greatest love.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years; Sandra Bruce Heggie, his four children; Tim Heggie and Angie of Burns, TN, David Lampley and his wife Dana of Dickson, TN, Donna Dunn and her husband Ronnie of Burns, TN and Ricky Lampley and his wife Andrea of Burns, TN , his two sisters; Helen Heggie of Dickson, TN and Marian Wheat of Dickson, TN, his 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 1 great- great grandchild, many nieces and nephews.
