Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, August 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Tommy Marvin will give her eulogy. Visitation will be on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Entombment will follow in the Union Cemetery Mausoleum.
Lillian Jeanette Tice Thompson, age 100, of Dickson, TN died peacefully July 29, 2023 at NHC in Dickson, TN.
Born Lillian Jeanette Tice on February 13, 1923, one of six children of Henry Nelson and Sarah Ann Tice.
In earlier years, she married the late Charles Robinson. Form many years they owned and operated Robinson’s Grocery that was located at the end of South Main Street in Dickson. In later years she was married to Clayton Leroy (Roy) Thompson who passed away in January 2010.
Lillian was a true businesswoman. In addition to helping manage Robinson’s Grocery, she also worked for several merchants in downtown Dickson. She may have even waited on you when she worked at Fussell’s and later working at the former Culpepper’s. She had the mind of a merchant and knew how to manage money.
She was a member of the Lord’s church and attended services regularly until she was physically unable. She often commented to her nephew, Dan, how much she missed going to worship services.
She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by her family, her West End neighbors and her friends.
She is survived by her sister Willene Litton, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
