     Celebratiuon of Life will be held Saturday August 12, 2023 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Saturday August 12th from 11 AM until time of service. Place of rest will be in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in Sue's name to a charity close to her heart, continuing her spirit of giving and compassion. Memorials may be made to the Dickson Senior Center, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, City of Hope, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

     Sue Barnett Goodson, age 77 of Dickson, TN passed away Friday August 4, 2023. Born in Loretto, Tn she was the daughter of the late Allen and Myra Idell Urban Barnett and was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Barnett.
     In loving memory of Sue Goodson: a remarkable woman whose life was filled with joy, adventure, and cherished moments. Sue, a devoted wife to Karl for nearly 60 years, shared a love that transcended time, proving that true love endures. On her journey, she embraced her faith as a proud member of the Methodist community, finding comfort and strength in her beliefs. Sue's zest for life was evident in her passion for traveling, which allowed her to explore the world and create beautiful memories with her family. She had a keen eye for bargains and delighted in sharing her savvy shopping tips with loved ones. But above all, Sue's heart belonged to the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who filled her days with laughter and love.
     A compassionate soul, Sue's unwavering affection extended even to her faithful canine companion, Scoots, who brought her endless joy and companionship. Together, they shared countless heartwarming moments. Though she has left this earthly realm, Sue's legacy of love, kindness, and adventure lives on in the hearts of those she touched. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us remember the beautiful journey she embarked upon, the cherished memories she leaves behind, and the love that she nurtured in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her love and light will forever guide and inspire us.

     Survivors include her husband, Karl Goodson of Dickson, TN; children, Kathy Sugg (Jimmy) of Tennessee City, TN, Myra Jane Goodson of Tennessee City, TN, Jean Haskins (Larry) of Dickson, TN; adopted great grandchildren, Kyli Hall and Noah Hall both of Dickson, TN; sisters, Imogene Krick of Loretto, TN, Sandra Vance (Jim) of Nashville, TN; 2 grandchildren, Cassie Cumbie (Billy) of Fairhope, AL, Traci Hall of Dickson, TN; 2 great grandchildren, Gunner and Lyla Cumbie of Fairhope, AL; several nieces and nephews.
