A funeral mass will be conducted on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Chistopher’s Catholic Church in Dickson, TN, with Father Abraham Panthalanickal officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home with a Rosary Service taking place at 7:00 p.m. Burial of ashes will take place on Tuesday, October 10, at 1:00 p.m. at the Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.

Ms. Lorraine Bandiera Wasik, age 92 years of Dickson, TN, passed from this life on September 29, 2023, at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN. She was born on February 27, 1931, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Victor J. and Viola Ruggiero Bandiera.

Ms. Wasik graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. She was married for over 57 years to Francis “Frank” Wasik before his passing in May of 2009. She was a Librarian at the Dickson Public Library for many years in both a full time and volunteer role. She loved to read. She was also a longtime member of the St. Christopher’s Catholic Church where she served faithfully in various roles for many years.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Wasik; her daughter: Kathryn Johnson; her brother: Victor Bandiera, Jr.; and sons-in-law: Dr. David Lee and Doug Johnson.

Survivors include her children: Paul Wasik of Anacortes, Washington, Alan Wasik (Judy) of Strawberry Plains, TN, and John Wasik (Kristy) of Eagleville, TN; her daughters: Nancy Johnson (Dan) of Nashville and Dr. Patricia Lee of Knoxville; her sister: Bonnie Episcopo; her grandchildren: Cody Johnson (Lacey), Lauren Johnson (Michael), Julianne Patel (Jay), Bennett Johnson, Paul Lee (Jane), Meredith Lee (George), Kathyrn Lee (Kessel), Alexandra Lee, Jessica Wasik, Anna Wasik, and William Wasik; three great-grandchildren: Merritt, Max, and Ansley; and her best friends: Linda Cashion and Marcia Standley.
